The great horned owl (Bubo virginianus) is also known as the “tiger owl” or the “hoot owl”. Native to the Americas, is part of the “true” or “typical” owl family, the Strigidae.
The great horned owl is generally colored for camouflage. The wings are brown with darker markings, while the rest of the body is light with brown horizontal barring.
Fun fact, a group of owls is called a “parliament”!
Technique: Hand drawn watercolors, vectorized.
