The photosynthetic cycle

The infographic shows parts of the photosynthetic cycle taking place in a C3 plant, the sunflower (Helianthus annuus).

With a chemical-centered approach we observe which parts of the plant participate in chlorophyll photosynthesis, and in which capacity. We observe zoom-ins on the leaf structure, the role of the stomas and the distributions of chloroplasts and thylakoids.

Several molecular structures are depicted, from smaller molecules such as H2O, O2 and CO2, to more complex ones such as chlorophyll and glucose.

Infographic realized during the IllustraDigital class, proposed by IllustraCiencia Academy.
